Spread over 26 acres on serene Om Beach in Gokarna, Karnataka, SwaSwara (literally, ‘inner voice’ in Kannada) takes you on a journey of rediscovery and guides you to the healthier way of life that it offers. The property has 24 simple yet modern villas inspired by the local craft and traditions of coastal Karnataka.

Each villa, designed around a split-level open atrium, is built in the Konkan style using natural materials. The lower level has a sitting lounge, and the upper level comprises a semi-open bathroom and a bedroom. The upper deck is perfect for that early morning yoga session or watching the sun rise or set with a cup of your favourite beverage. When here, you can indulge in some therapeutic sessions at the Ayurveda treatment centre, meditate at the dome, visit the art studio and library, do yoga in the yoga shala or beach yoga deck, and much more.

SwaSwara

SwaSwara strongly advocates the philosophy of preservation and recycling. The resort has adopted rain-water harvesting – the system consists of three reservoirs that can hold up to 18 million litres of water. The food served at the property draws from local recipes, but has global flavours. The use of processed foods, meat and alcohol is not encouraged at the property. The resort also recycles kitchen waste and turns it into biogas for cooking and fertilisers for the farm. Find inner peace and resdiscover a new you at this beachside haven of relaxation and rejuvenation.
