Here's what makes Fridays in Bali special
By Rashima Nagpal

Inspiring healthier ways of living, Heavenly Spa by Westin at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has come up with weekly sessions of Ashtanga Yoga led by resident wellness specialist Jitendra Pokhriyal.

Ashtanga comes from the words ashta, meaning eight, and anga, meaning steps or limbs. Symbolically, it refers to the eight-step journey towards samadhi or self-freedom. A spiritual yet dynamic form of yoga, it pays emphasis on the harmony between breath and movement. Its various poses are practiced in the same order and the focus is kept on the meditative aspect. Every Friday at 5:15 pm at Heavenly Spa’s ‘Wellness Platform’,a session of Ashtanga Yoga is held amid nature’s soothing environs. Post the session, various other wellness experiences are scheduled for the benefit of resident as well as non-resident guests.

Experience a mindful rendezvous with your inner self as you channelize your mental, physical and spiritual energies by means of Ashtanga Yoga at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali. Here's Wellness Specialist Jitendra Pokhriyal demonstrating the form:
